EXPLAINED: Everything you need to know about the 2025 season launch event at London’s The O2

For the first time in its long and illustrious history, Formula 1 will host a season launch event in London to kickstart the 2025 campaign. Here’s your one-stop shop as to what you can expect…
Traditionally, Formula 1 teams host individual car launches to announce their project for the coming season. These can be anything from a bespoke event either at their factory or a grander location, or a simple and efficient digital launch across their own channels.
But for 2025, Formula 1 is bringing all 10 teams – Alpine, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Haas, McLaren, Mercedes, RB, Red Bull, Sauber and Williams – together for one huge launch spectacular.

I’m glad you asked! Next year Formula 1 celebrates its 75th anniversary – and so it seemed like a good opportunity to do something different and mark this very special occasion.
London’s The O2 will play host to a two-hour show that’ll kick off at 2000 GMT on February 18.
All 20 drivers and all 10 Team Principals for starters. There’ll also be special guest presenters and stars from the world of entertainment. Oh – and you can go, too!

There are three tiers of pricing for tickets based on where you’re sat – from £58 to £113. These prices include booking fees, though an additional transaction fee of £2.50 will apply.
You’ve not got long to wait as tickets go on sale at 1000 GMT on Friday 15 November here.

You bet you can. The event will be streamed live, with details to be revealed in the coming weeks.
Organisers are keeping most of it under wraps for now, but each team will get their individual moment over the course of the night.
That will be a chance to see their respective 2025 liveries and the drivers who will represent them.

And there’ll be interviews with all the biggest names in the sport.
BrianBurkeCreative, who delivered the opening and closing ceremonies for the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix, Stufish Entertainment Architechs, DX7 Design and production company 1826 are the crew tasked with bringing the event to life.
You’ll need to wait a little longer to see those as teams will be pushing to get them ready to go before packing them up and shipping them to Bahrain for pre-season testing.
The three-day test will commence just seven days after the event at The O2 at the Bahrain International Circuit, running from February 25-27.
